Though it may be late, I'd love to congratulate Happy Ied Adha for all Moslem colleagues who celebrate that holy feast which is also called Feast of the Sacrifice.
Still in the same week which the spirit of that feast still lingers in the air, I'd love to raise "Sacrifice" as the theme for our 3rd gathering.
Though we may not as great as prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) who had great heartiness to sacrifice his young first-born son Ismail (Ishmael) as an act of allegiance to Allah’s order and his son’s acceptance to being sacrificed, before Allah intervened to provide Abraham with a lamb to sacrifice instead, I believe we have had our own act or story of sacrifice no matter how small and simple it was, haven’t we?
Or maybe we have been inspired by sacrifice done by some people surrounding us.
Or maybe we have another interpretation or link about “Sacrifice”.
I personally link that word to my must-be-sung song every time I go k-ok i.e. My Sacrifice (Creed) :D
